Yet another lumy-mag timing question

Hey guys....I'm watching a snap on MT480 on ebay...problem is the seller has the MT160 timing probe for the GM diesels with it not the 161. It should go into an IH glow plug hole, is there any reason why we couldn't use that luminosity probe or will it not work for the 6.9/7.3 IH? I know teh fuel systems are so similar, just had to ask. The MT160 is the probe you need for the 6.9 and 7.3 diesel engines. The MT161 will only fit the 6.2 GM diesel engines.
