I can see using a Dana 44 cause they are what, 1/3 the price of a Dana 60

ummmm... nah i think i'll passLOL hey i just found three 16.5x9.5 hurricaine mags on our yard today so if i can find one more i'll be set. anyone running them and i'll need an adress...:rotflmao

Interesting. Somebody did a 2WD to 4WD conversion using the factory 2WD springs. ;Really Most likely a Bronco or F-150 front end, minus the IFS.

Yea, isnt that something! I noticed that too. But no way was I going to consider doing that. I wanted to have the full functionality of all the factory 4x4 stuff.

he said it was a d44 front, IIRC the late 70's F150 4x4 used a coil setup like that with the d44 SFA. i thought i saw one like that in a junk pile once

My question is why convert it to 4x4 and use a 44 axle instead of a 60?

cheap... looks like an D44 out of a late 70's with 8lug outers, or a 3/4ton 44... if you take a close look at the radius arms you can see that they have been legnthed down. Pretty sure he used stock ttb coils an shocks
