The wipers, on my 1985 F-350, just quit, period.

They worked fine, a couple days ago.

I turned them on, this morning, and nothing, no grunt, no click, nothing.

The washer will not buzz or squirt.

No slow wiper, no fast wiper.

I wiggled the plug at the wiper motor, pecked on the motor itself, still nothing.

I looked at my fuse diagram, and there is no fuse in it that says anything about wiper-motor.

Is there a fuse, or relay, or fusible link; and, where is it??

It is just like the key-switch is off, or a battery cable is off.

My memory is kinda foggy; how do I get the wiper switch out of the dash, so that I can diagnose it??

Thanks.

No intermittents, just good old, plain old wipers.

I noticed this morning that, when I turn the wiper switch from one position to another, the park-brake light would flicker, and the C.B. would make a little static buzz.

I grounded a test light, and with the switch on low speed, there are three terminals in the plug at the motor that make the test-light flash, no steady light, just flash.

Everytime the light flashed, the static on the C.B. buzzed loudly.

The amp gauge, in the dash, does nothing, remains steady.

Is this a symptom of a bad motor??

Thanks.

UPDATE on the situation.

I turned on the switch and gave the wiper-motor a good whack :backoff with a hammer; actually, it took about four good whacks. :backoff :backoff

On the fourth whack :backoff , the wipers went to working like new; so, since it started pouring the rain on me, I guess I can get by, for now, but a new wiper-motor is my diagnosis.

Now, I need a good pictorial write-up on a wiper-motor install, please.

Thanks.

Just FYI on my '94 in a really really hard rain, water comes in through the AC ducts and drips right on the wiper relay.......
