Hey Folks,

My neighbor has an 88 Bronco. The switches on the passenger door for the window and door lock do not work. The drivers side controls for that door work fine.

Any help?

Thanks,

Tom

I'm afraid all I can offer you are Schematics Should be the same for the doors on the 88'.

Not to be picky, but shouldn't this be under a Ford forum? Unless you are talking about a Blazer?

Either way, sounds to me like a power feed is broken in a door boot. As I recall, everything feeds through the driver's door switch, first. The broken wire could be in either door boot.

The simple way, is to find the wire color code, from the schematic, remove the door panels, and pull on the wire. The broken wire will pull in two. Fishing in a patch wire, and getting it connected can be a trick, given the confined space. I don't recommend putting the splice in the boot, as it may break, or chafe another wire.

Whata ya know! I made a tech post. :rotflmao
