Then stockish rebuilds would be fine.
I would try Mel. I wish could see some reviews on his psd injectors. Are they built in-house? Or is he a vendor for another builder? Questions I haven't found answers to. I guess I should call him up one day. Lol
Couple other places come to mind also. Just stay away from the normal places listed in the hall of shame.

I really Dont want to gamble, just curious if someone has used them. I will spend whatever it takes, i just want it fixed and dont want to have to get them done a second time.

What makes you expect injectors troubles? There must be some kind of indication. Are you going to do the work on changing them yourself? On a 97, the injector sleeves should be changed when the injectors are out. That's a job in itself.

I would stick with someone more local rather than from Calif, not for the shipping cost, but for all the handling from different UPS,FedEX or USPS terminals, unless the shipping packaging is super good.

Conestoga Diesel (Pennsylvania), Rosewood Diesel (Ohio) or Midwest Diesel(Illinois)are my choices in that order.

EDIT I read thru your other post, didn't see anyplace where you checked the fuel pressure, at idle PSI around 45 to 50, 65 PSI would be better when running.

i did as much diagnosis as i could and took it to a reputable local diesel shop... just preparing myself, i want to have some place in mind so im not picking someone last minute and make a bad decision.

I haven't heard of that ebay guy. I'd be iffy.
There's also P.I.S, full force, etc.

just heard from my mechanic and he said the wastegate was stuck shut (i think hes actually talking about the flapper thingy in the exhaust housing), they got it freed up and helped it a bunch! gonna have him change the oil and filter and pick it up tomorrow. hopefully hes got me taken care of.

Yeah, it's the exhaust back pressure valve.
No waste gate to be found. Lol
I would unhook it, and tie it open.
