The hub is not long enough to support back to back aluminum wheels on a pick up. But he is going to run 2 aluminum wheels on the inside, then the 2" spacers then 2 more aluminums on the outside. Well that is the plan anyway. I just got him 4 alcoa hot shots to run on the outside and he will run the magnums on the inside

Yeah, but the stainless steel wheel covers look totally different from the aluminum wheels. Besides having covers on steel wheels still means your wheels can rust, which is not an issue with aluminum wheels. Now quit giving the guy grief and get to working on your own dually conversion! lol

Yeah and aluminum wheels weigh aprox 20lbs a piece while steel weighs double that. besides he bought 2 of those alcoa wheels for 50 bucks

Steel can take a better beating than aluminum, thats for sure

id find out what they could handle as far as weight is concerned tho.
you'd be surprised what they make for looks,while tossing practicality out the window,because some guys don't actually use duals for hauling heavy loads,just for looks lol (or stability though too in which case it wouldn't matter.)based on the other thread,it sounds like there's some working going on with f450 spring swap.
as long as you know they will handle actually working i suppose.sure would suck to toss a few ton on her and have the wheels come undone lol.
steel wheels can be painted ya know to stop rust before you toss the stainless covers on.
no doubt she'll look nice though.very,very cool.don't get me wrong.

They are rated at 2780 a wheel so the truck itself can carry 16,680 not to bad for a pick up

oh ok.good to know they know better,to make a good dually mag wheel then.some of them SRW mag ratings are scary.your all set for approx 5.5 ton on the back.
