For what had to be done to install the turbo, your best bet is to a. Get a copy of e manual for that generation, and b. Post details about your truck in your sig. The manual is kicking around members here, and I'll see if I can find my PDF copy. The sig would tell us things like if you have a c6, the kick down rod has to be modified.
For upgrades specific to that turbo kit, there aren't really any off the shelf, other than a bigger exhaust. The "upgrade" is to swap kits to a Sidewinder afaik. Again, I'm trying to get rid of the box, but that will involve a bunch of odds and ends and an immensely fulfilling butchering of that stupid box, and I'll definitely post when I do. An alternative is to find an early box that came in two pieces, or an intake hat off a van kit, but Banks doesn't sell that piece separately.
