I picked bought an ambulance a while ago and finally got around to bringing it down to my area.

http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28027

It has a 7.3, supposedly with 80k on it, a tranny with supposedly 3000 miles since a rebuild. The rear end is blown.

I have a guy that wants to buy it or the box. At first we were thinking 1000 bucks for the whole truck. I would like to keep the tranmission to put in the F250 dually that I also picked up.

If I dont the guy said he could get me a zf5 to swap into it.

What do you guys think is a good price for this?

unless ZF5's in your area are really hard to come by, take the money and run.
that deal paid for and more off your orig deal.
I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I would sell and buy what you need for the dually. as stated earlier, low miles but a booku butt ton of hours (think coked up cylinders and burnt tranny fluid)

I would agree with them.... I am a Vol. Firefighter on a combination Paid / Vol Department. Life as an emergency vehicle is horrible, especially if you are an ambulance. They sit in the bay, get started, driven like they are stolen, sit and idle at a scene for a few minutes to all day, driven to the hospital or back to the station, shut down..... and then all over again. I would say our busses do this at a minimum of 10 times a day, because they go on EVERY RUN!!!! At times there can be hours between runs, so they do cool down and have a cold start at least 2 or 3 times a day......

Well, as of now, the box is probably going to be put on a trailer and turned into a mobile motorcycle repair shop.

If we can get the motor running, my buddy has a buyer for that aswell.

I will keep the tranny.

Anyone need a rear end or any other parts off this truck?
