I had a racket like that on my PSD. Kept putting it off to find out what it was. Sure as hell it was what I suspected, the nuts where loose on the TC to flexplate, then it cost me a new TC because one of the bolts actually tore out of the TC. Why don't you eliminate that, don't cost a thing except 20 minutes, 10mm wrench for the cover, 13mm for the nuts or 1/2", a large screw driver to turn the engine over.

Here's the latest on the saga of the clattering noise...

I'm swapping a good but used (100,000 miles) engine and plan to rebuild the stricken engine. I might look for some turbo rods and pistons for it. Haven't decided yet, first I have to look at my options...

But at least the Behemoth will live again and I will have a spare motor... :peelout

I do have a question though...

What are the torque values for the TC to flexplate, bellhousing to block, motor mounts to frame and engine to motor mounts?

Oh, almost forgot... Do our engines exhaust manifolds use some kind of exhaust doughnut?

I'm trying to get everything together before I start.

Many thanks to all of the BOOB's here!!!
