Sorry in advance if this have been discussed before (I know I've seen it), but search isn't pulling anything up and I want to torque this down.
My manual says 80ft/lbs in 4 steps. (40,70,80,80)
ARP says three steps to 80ft/lbs.

I'll swear that I've seen that you get the ARP studs so you can apply more torque to seal the gasket better and prevent failure with higher pressures when adding turbo on this forum, but I can't find it now. What do you guys recommend? Follow directions, or...?

I’ve done 100 ft lbs on the 6.9s but wouldn’t go any further. If you’re not running a ton of boost I would just go with the arp spec

That’s correct, the 6.9 uses a smaller bolt/stud so it can’t be torqued to those higher specs
