We had an 86 Conversion van with a diesel in it. The only down side to it was working on it. They are the biggest PITA you will ever have the displeasure to work on.

Yep, there was one with a thrown rod up that way, but the guy wouldn't return my call/email..

I've seen that one, nice unit, asking too much money. I'd rather get a 7.3PSD powered one for the price. If he's willing to come down a bit, sure.
