I noticed today when looking for a new fuel filter that it doesn't seem like there is one with a water sep for the 6.9 tower. My plan is to just get the top piece from my 94 IDIT fuel tower and put it on mine, and use that applications filter. Any issues with this?

That's what I have on mine. The 94 IDI should have different connections, etc. for wiring, but you can hook that all up as well. The stock filter uses a bottom housing as well, but you can look in the parts bin and get one that has a closed bottom on the filter rather than using the aluminum plate that threads on the stock filter, which is exactly what I'm doing.

You can also get them with the water in fuel sensor port. That's what I use.
