valve lash adjustment

any advice on valve lash adjustment? How often? Thought i'd get some feedback before i tackle it.

30 thou miles is what they recomnd for 12v

not to complicated. doesnt take much time. best to have manual to walk ya thru it

Is this something that the Haynes manual covers or should a guy pick up a factory service manual like from Geno's or the like?

the manuals harold has in his shop is haynes and have alll the specs
