I have a flywheel housing that's SAE 2 and need to bolt up a Spicer 5652 that has an SAE 3 clutch housing on it. I ordered an adapter ring that will do this but it is 7/8" thick. Do these adapters work OK with standard transmissions? Do I need some kind of extended pilot bearing or throwout bearing to take up the extra 7/8" between the flywheel and trans? Or do they work fine with just clutch linkage adjustment?
The adapter casting number is 3585126C1, they were used on DT466s.
Thanks
