turbo question (dumb question probably)

What is the difference in a diesel turbo and the turbo's which were installed on cars?
I obviously don't much about turbo's and such from my question.

none. But if you want to try to figure out how to properly match one up, then you can start doing a google search on that and A/R numbers and all that happy horse hockey and you'll have enough to keep your brain going tilt for months.
