Turbo Oil Feed Line N/A to Turbo

Hey guys as the post states I’m having conflicting thoughts on my oil feed line for my Factory ATS turbo install on my N/A engine. As shown in the picture the Factory turbo fitting is significantly bigger than my N/A fitting where my oil feed taps into. I’ve heard of people running these turbo set ups but have not seen anything regarding this. Will I be ok with the fitting being smaller to feed oil to my turbo?

I had a feeling you some of you guys were on here . You were the only person who said it was ok to run so I just wanted to hear from more than just one person that it’s fine. It’s kind of an important part of the system and I don’t want my turbo to go boom. Sorry buddy

If you wanna feel better about it run a hose from there and start the truck and watch how much oil flows through there lol..

You will be fine with the na turbo fitting.EVERY na engine Banks or Hypermax installed a turbo on had the small 1/8 inch fitting and they ran fine for millions of miles. The turbo blocks are all 1/4 inch pipe thread oil ports. The na engines are the 1/8 inch pipe plug ports.

But, at least on my banks, they used the port on the side of the block with 1/8NPT and a standard 1/8NPT adapter. The inner diameter of which is probably .2"?

On that 1/8NPT adaptor at the back of the motor, looks like its more .06-.1"?

I'd take the adaptor and drill it out with a .15" or so drill, make sure that you can get some flow through it - that's way smaller than normal 1/8 NPT fittings, and even a small increase in diameter will increase flow by a lot. Remember, area is pi*r^2, so you get an exponential increase.

... That's not funnars. I did that just to see before I installed my turbo. Wife still laughs every time its brought up and out comes the phone wit all the pics she took. My dumb ars was looking straight down at it wen she started it.

i did nicely tell him that on FB. unfortunately, "research" these days means asking the same question over and over to different places and seeing what the results are without checking the background of the person giving the answer. that's the biggest difference between FB and forums. over at FB, you get the spoonfeeders dropping in for a feeding and then disappear. Here, you get to look at the same group of ******** and figure out quickly who's full of **** and who has seen shiit and is covered in it.
