If i were to add a turbo on my truck how much would the sound of the exhaust be reduced

A lot. No need for a muffler with a turbo. Smaller diameter pipe (3in or less) will cackle and you will have some interior drone at highway speeds.
Go with a 4" exhaust.
Go with a 4" exhaust.

It reduces it alot, but trust me its still plenty loud. Especially when your up high in the rpm range (3000rpm's plus) and you pass someone, it is real loud.
