well ive still been trying to get my truck to start after the Head gaskets and new injectors, but it wont fire. Ive tried everything, i know i have fuel in the line but I cant get the bleed results that everyone talks about (Fuel squirting from the Lines and white smoke) i dont now what else to do now, ive been reading other members threads of no starts and have been taking notes, but im not sure if i should try that stuff, in one thread i read maybe advance the timing a little, what are your thoughts or comments on this? im startting to get really frustrated with this and i really want to be able to drive my truck

Do you get nothing but fuel from the filter head schraider valve when cranking? If not, make sure it has been bled well. Then crank the motor with the IP at WFO until you get fuel at the injector lines. Tighten up the lines and crank with throttle at WFO. It should start, but it will take a while.

If you know for certain that you have fuel, but still no start, you've gotta double check the timing. The mark on the IP and IP gear cover will be a good starting point. It will likely not be perfect there, but it will be close enough to start the truck.

Is there any change the IP gear timing may be off?

when i done it i would give it a few little wiffs of ether which would make her hit and try to run and turn faster and bled quicker

Im Pretty sure all i have is fuel at the filter head, and as for the timing i scribed a line on the IP and Gear cover and put it back exactly the way it was, and i didnt even touch the gear itself

My advice would be disconnect the fuel feed and return then put both lines in a jug full of diesel have a electric pump already connected to the dirty side of the fuel filter then crank it. This way You will know it has fuel all the way to the filter and if You don't even get a puff of smoke You know You are not getting enough fuel pressure to the injectors. After that You can dedicate to timing.

Even if You get fuel at the filter head You could get fuel and AIR which is enough for the engine to crank and stay off.

What I would do, is find a friend and a field where you can try to pull start your truck, before you wear your starter out. I have always had better results doing it this way because you can get the engine speed up a lot more. Faster it spins the easier it will start.
