TRANSFER CASE ???

I JUST PURCHASED A 1992 F-250 WITH A BAD TRANFER CASE BUT THE TAG ON THE CASE IS BROKEN OFF SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CASE IT IS. CAN ANY ONE OF YOU GUYS HELP ME IDENTIFY WHAT CASE IT IS AND WHERE TO FIND A REASONABLE REPLACEMENT THANKS CHAD

Post the vin and all the codes off the door sticker. I might have the information to decode it. If you have a 351 or a 460 I am almost certain that you have a Borg Warner 1356. There are a couple of varities of these T-cases but most all pickups used the same one. It will have a slip yoke on the rear output shaft, a bolt on front driveshaft and may have PTO provisions and may have Electric shift.

I'll try to find my VIN decoding paperwork. In the meantime I am almost certain that you are going to have the 1356 T-case. You can try sending National Drivetrain an e-mail and see what they can do for you. They are a good comapny in my book.

THANKS I THINK I FOUND ONE THAT WILL WORK. SORRY FOR THE LACK OF RESPONSE I WAS AWAY FOR A WHILE
