Trans crossmember picture request

I know my truck has the wrong crossmember in it. When I bought the truck, someone had crammed in a c6piece of junk. I just have a flat piece of metal crossmember. Looks like it might be part of the original e4od setup.

I now have a zf in the truck. After installing the banks turbo kit last week, I have the turbo heat shield laid in to the firewall pretty hard. I am thinking that the rear of the trans is sitting too low because of this wrong crossmember. Raising the rear of the trans should pivot the top of the engine forward and help my problem.

Anyone have a pic of a factory 2wd zf crossmember? I am trying to decide whether to hunt one down, or see if I can build something that will put me back in to alignment.

How tall is the trans mount your currently running?
Long story short, in my pile of parts during the conversion I had a tall mount approx 2-2.5" ish if I remember right and a short mount that was around 1". The short mount gave me the same issue your having, every thing was happy with the tall mount. The tall mount I believe was with the e4od, the short mount came with the ZF I got which had came out of a truck some one else had converted so I have no idea if it was the correct one. Being that some one did their own 'conversion' to a c6 with yours you may want to check the trans mount to see if it is the correct one.
And my e4od crossmember was not flat, it was L shaped with the leg on the left side. A factory ZF truck I found in the yard had a pretty flat crossmember with supports that bolted on to tie it to the upper rail of the frame on each side.

I am running a f150aod crossmember that looks really close to the ZF crossmember and I cut welded the center to make it work for me so I doubt my pics would help. I can measure my trans mount if that would help.

Chris, I'm going to be pulling one apart this week that has said trans and crossmember in it.

Yah, that's why I cut and welded the AOD crossmember right there. Seen a picture of a L-shaped ZF crossmember but the leg was on the PS. The truck in the yard had a flat crossmember, left me wondering WTH.

This won't help you at all since I have a 4x4, but I know for a fact that the c6 4x4 lower crossmember and the zf 4x4 lower crossmember are the same piece, when I did my swap I laid them side by side and there was no difference. The short upper braces where different though. So don't be surprised if the 2wd c6 and the zf 2wd lower crossmembers are the same also. Can't say for sure though, I don't have a 2wd laying around.

I can do that, after I post a few here..I'll try to get down to GUY's place and see if I can pull his extra one and photo it too! Then if I can I'll 101 it.

I've figured out if I TECH 101 things that are techy...they are so darn easy to find in SEARCH ***** so that's another reason I do them as TECH 101 for search ease!

I was actually being serious.... Lol. Now I'm even more confuzzled after seeing your pics as that's not what I found in the yard on this one f350. I checked for trans wiring and was pretty positive it hadn't been swapped but I guess you never know some times. My old e4od crossmember was stamped as such, guess when I go back Ill look to see if it's stamped with the trans model as well.

Why confused? This is correct model F350 ZF 4x crossmember 2 wd won't work for 4x cause drive shaft will smack it!

Not sure on a F250 as they have different setup for front diff/driveshaft and such. I'll see ifn I can locate one here tomorrow.

I thought I kept my 2wd F250 ZF x member but it's gone unfortunately. It's essentially the same as a T19 as I remember...
