You would never know I did the swap on my truck. I found the wiring harness for the zf plugged right in to a plug under the brake booster. Unplugged the c6 tranny harness and then plugged in the zf harness. It looks factory, plug and play no wire hacking needed if you get the right harness. The zf harness even has a jumper made into it to jump out the neutral safety wiring that goes to the c6.

man, this thing wasn't old enough to have been a c6 truck and the plate in the fire wall where the e4od wiring went looked unmolested. At this yard they had a little f150 4x4 with a ZF had the 3 piece, the f350 4x4 had a 3piece, then AL posts a pic of a dog leg crossmember.... So if AL could kindly 101 it, that take the *** factor out of the equation it sure would make life easier for any with questions and for any one down the road doing a swap.
Cpdenton- I would still check the mount height to see if you could go taller to correct the problem, of the three different crossmembers I have and tried, I didn't notice a big diff in height as far as where the mount would sit. Sorry for the detour.
