Thanks i found out after the fact that the chevy mirrors were china knock offs so the breakaway spring was way to loose and that compounded my mirror shake my dodge mirrors are rock solid also if i had gone the same route on the mount for the chevy like i did the dodge it may have helped... i wouldn't. Be against super duty mirrors but they have far to large of base that would take up the entire vent window

I wander how hard it'd be to wire in heated power windows like the ones off a chevy. Also I like the ones with the turn signal on the mirror. But if going that route, might as well go all out and do the power telescoping ones. Lol
Heats fairly simple, just have to run a power and ground wire to the mirror then wire in a switch inside the cab (on an ignition switched power source)

I knew the heat and turn signal part would be fairly easy. I guess just make sure to get the control switch also to have power mirrors. Then it's just matching wires.

has anyone else tried the chevy mirrors i like the look of them alot better than a dodge (too bad they are chevy )
THis is completely normal . I drove a big truck for years, and I can poke my 32ft carhauler in next to the house off a narrow road blideside in 2 shots, but when I have to to back up my little 8 ft utility flat, it's downright embarrassing. At the scrap metal yard last week, I could SEE the fella in the crane tapping his toe in my mirror ,waiting on me to get into position to pull off a handfull of riding mowers and some other big stuff, as I kept trying to jacknife the little ******.
THis is really quite normal with really small trailers, especailly when the trailer is only about half teh size of teh vehicle towing it. THings work a WHOLE lot better when its the other way around and the trailer is longer than the tow vehicle, the longer teh wheel base of teh traierl the easier it is to back ( as far as getting it to go where you point it, obviously, manuvering room restrictions start coming in to play at some point )
If you want good mirrors, just get a set of factory F700 mirrors. I did, and they are the greatest thing ever.. I cant stand little tiny pickup mirrors, they make me ill and angry.
