Towing Capacity

Hello everyone I have a 1985 F250 4x4 reg cab with the 6.9 idi and 4 speed manual transmission and I want to buy a travel trailer for it and was wondering what a safe weight limit would be? I would only be taking the trailer back and forth the Cascades in Washington.

Start wirh the door tag.
6-9k should be easy nuff.
There are several threads in here just like this on.
Rolling more weight is easy, stopping it not so much.

Thats just one thought.

These trucks can pull lots, and with that 4 speed you can slow and and stop quite a bit as well and that (along with the ability to control the bounce and sway) of what you are pulling are the parts that matter. Anything from the weight range already mentioned should be fine. I pulled a 30 foot travel trailer without issue with mine the 4.10 gearing was nice for that. I have also hauled all kinds of vehicles and scrap around as well.
