Well I picked up a set of tow mirrors for my truck to get rid of the car mirrors I currently have.

The trouble I ran into is that the bottom brackets do not seem even. I picked them up at a show so I was not able to get a before check on them. Can anyone tell me what this measurement should be? They vary about 3 inches from each other and the frames do not sit even on the bottom 2 bolts. Thanks

I would get you measurements from mine, but the mounts have been ripped out and moved previous to me owning it. Lol

Thanks Corey, will hopefully get these on tonight. Funny part is there are weld marks on the inside of the door suggesting that the truck used to have the tow mirrors.

When you mount them, use the large fender washers on the inside, actually double them up, sure helps to keep the door sheet metal from cracking later on. That takes some of the shake out of the mirrors also.

I bought stainless nuts, bolts and fender washers. I was also going to make some gaskets so the mirror is not directly on the paint.

Rivnuts suck here. Someone did that on my truck and the door skin rotted out around them. I used large fender washers inside and out with matching rubber washers on the outside to seal between the washer/door skin.

Much better until I stumble upon some west coast mirrors.

Those are the same mirrors that I just got mounted on the 92. Used the same hardware you did. That's why I suggested the fender washers.
