toe to toe with a cummins!

I see how you were toe to toe. I raced an 05 5.9 tonight in stock form in a 98 Nissan frontier 4 banger 5 speed. Dang cummins didn't have a chance. it was funny I thought but I was prolly turning 7k rpms before I shifted. Still it was pretty sad

AFC only controls how much fuel is injected based on boost level, messing with them shouldn't net anymore power than stock, only just put more fuel in down low....right?

yep.

1. install $20 boost elbow on stock turbo and make 35 intercooled psi.
2. install 4krpm gov
3. adjust afc to accomodate

then you're at or over 300 hp.

and even if you dont mess with your boost, adjusting how much fuel you get makes a huge difference. turning up the fuel on a stock idi turbo makes a difference, same thing. the stock fuel plate on a 2nd gen 12v is set for emissions, as are the rest of the settings ("smoke screw", afc housing location, fuel plate location, and starwheel)
