Performance mods tend to help, opening up the exhaust and intake so the engine can breathe easier is always a good thing, switching to synthetics may net you a litte as well. Mechanically you could add a Gear Vendors to give you an extra OD and you could always swap the gear ratio in the pumpkin to a higher ratio to bring the RPMs down.

I just put 255 85 16s on my 94, way taller than the 265 75s that were worn out, according to the gps i have dropped about 200 rpm to maintain the same speed, 66 on speedo says 70 on gps, haven't gotten a consant mileage measurement that i can compare to my past average of 22 highway but i am guessing it has improved because it has improved towing anyway i love the tires, they look great and do awsome in the snow due to the narrow width and weight of the truck, let you know when i get a better mileage figure
