Timing question

I've been wondering if I ought to check the timing on my truck. It hasn't been set since the rebuilt IP was installed, and I've been told that they drift over time...

Does it make sense to get it timed if I plan on changing the IP and the injectors next january?

Who would one go to in the SF bay area to get such a thing done?

I would get it done. That way, when you get your new IP you can take the timing setting out of the equation for any percieved improvement.
