Getting ready to flush out my coolant in my truck and going to use these instructions:

1.) drain thru petcock, fill with tap water.
2.) run engine until hot (run on road for a couple of miles), and drain thru petcock, and fill with tap water.
3.) Repeat step 2.) 4 times
4.) Repeat step 2.) with distilled water. Do this 4 times.
5.) Drain thru petcock, fill up with 4 gallons of coolant

When it gets time to fill up with distilled water how many gallons does it hold each time I fill it up? Want to know how many gallons of it to by. And I got underneath and just kind of eyeballed around for the petcock. Which side is it on? Thanks.

Petcock on my 95 is on the drivers side of the radiator. I cant remember what year truck you are driving Neal, but it should hold n the neighborhood of 30 qts + or -. Here is a good site with a procedure on it.
