I like your raderaid system!

However that battery connection looks dicey. Likely robbing you of some starting and charging capacity.

@NeverHave-I-Ether , these are "INDUSTRIAL" engines! A 20oz Gatorade bottle isn't gonna do, apparently they're making 3liter coke bottles again so as to accommodate our aging cooling systems. So stick a coffee can on your stack and a big coke bottle by your radiator.

You guys got me curious about coolant overflow tanks so I looked around. This one looks like it would fit and should hold about a gallon. Although I will admit the Gatorade bottle has a certain style!

Thats if your plastic overflow tank has not already cracked and started leaking.:( They seem to be failing at this age.

Ford no longer makes the early style ones, could not find an OEM aftermarket one either, but eyeing the aluminum one Classic Diesel Designs sells.

I like this one

Also truck came with a 13, 16 is too much.
I use 7 lbs. Got them from Towcat as he ordered those and thermostats in bulk.

The caps with a release lever won’t draw fluid back from bottle. The lever shaft is not sealed.

Mine seems to? The fluid in my bottle slowly drops, while the radiator itself has a minor leak. And the radiator is always completely full when I take off the cap, so it has to be refilling.

I have not had that issue. My radiator in my truck stayed full till my coolant bottle cracked 2 years ago. Now it is always a couple inches low.
