I dont know if this is a common thing with 97 7.3 f250hd.
My throttle pedal has to be pushed down 1/2 way before it begins to accelerate. is there an adjustment to shorten this stroke?? it bothers me that i have to push it so far when trying to time clutch to throttle footwork. It doesnt seem to matter at the top end as i never go over 3000 rpm before shifting, usually shift around 2500 rpm.

Google "blueprinting tps 7.3 powerstroke."
Also may need to replace the throttle pedal.

sounds like the IVS is out of adjustment. Until it clicks closed the PCM ignores throttle input. Sounds like an adjustment is needed.

Dremel and voltmeter lol. 1/2 way is a lot but nothing to loose by adjusting it. If it doesn’t fix it then check for lost motion in the mechanical portion. The sensor can be replaced, if possible DO NOT get a Dorman sensor. Poor track record.
