the SD core support is part of the body, it is spot welded to the fender supports.
nothing like a 80-97 truck.
heres a picture of it.
if you have fab skills you can replace it, but most likely you can just bend it back.
your inner cooler does fit in the space taken up.
if I wasn't working all day I woulda seen this post.
\but I swapped a 01 SD CC SB onto a 02 SD CC LB DRW frame.
the making of a 6 door souper dutie.
you can see thehoses for the little cooler, which is the power steering cooler.
its mounted pretty much inbetween the condenser and the inner cooler.

Insurance covered it, got the truck back recently. Had to replace the core support, cooler, and a brake line a blew open...-cuss

What happened was she was driving to a friends place, didnt know where she was... Had her right blinker on, realized she needed to go left so she stopped very quickly in front of me.. Guess I have learned now to stay back further.
