Ad:

I have a 1994 Ford F 250. It runs and drives. I recently replaced the water pump, the glow plugs, and batteries. The truck has some rust on the body. it's only had one owner and it's been well maintained its whole life. I have every single service record since the day it was bought. Its a 7.3 liter v8 diesel. 2000 is the price.

The miles don't scare me, the condition does. A truck with 100k hard miles can be in worse condition than one with 400k miles of all smooth highway.

I'd say it's worth a look. Ask him what type of coolant he's been running. If he's been keeping up with his SCA's he'll bring it up with out you specifically asking about them. If he doesn't know what SCA's are I think I would pass (or be ready to drop $3500 for a rebuild) as engine is probably about done.

He said he got his coolant at Ford. Also said he only towed a couple cars.

No mention of SCA's?...That's a deal killer for me, at that mileage the block is on borrowed time.

Not with those miles for me.

Rick
I didn't even flinch when I bought my '92 with 250k on the odo. rebuilt the entire truck irregardless within the first year of owning it. now with 320k on the odo, it just gets basic pm most of the issues it has is related to just sitting.

$2000 is a good price for any truck that can be put to work. I paid $2300 for my 86 with way more miles and I feel like I got a steal.
What are you going to be towing/hauling? Or do you just like the sound of ford diesels?

My parents have 7.3's and I want a pickup truck and 7.3 is one of the best. Its all I can afford.
