Yesterday in Chicago it was 30 degrees. I went out in the morning and moved my truck. No problem. Glow plug lamp came on, went off, Controller went tickety-tick and the truck started fine. Then 1/2 hour later I went to move it again, and it wouldn't start after 10 sec. crank. So I turned it off and on again and waited for the wait to start lamp to go off. The lamp went off, but seemed to stay on longer than usual - probably 7 or 9 sec. Anyway, cranked again and it wouldn't start nor did I hear the tickety-tick. So I left it there and came back 2 hours later, the truck did everything right and started just fine. Again this morning, just fine.

Question: Suppose I had left the ignition on after the first time I moved it. Would this cause these symptoms? The second time, I pulled the keys out so I knew the ignition was for sure off. --Andy
