Interesting info on 'stroking'.
I was chatting about stroking engines (and the diesels) to the mechanic at work while I was helping w/ a R & R with van. He said that for the amount of money people could dump doing it, there were other ways to get more power cheaper.
This is the same mechanic who found a mid/late 60's 429 engine in a local junk yard. He put it in a mid/late 70's era Bronco. Dang, he said it has power as stock.
Man, I still want to get a turbo for my 7.3L in my van..... it would sure wake it up.
