Then the computer shouldn't actually be needed. Just there for obd/emissions purposes.
And you actually physically see a EGR? Never even heard of one on a Cummins, pre-common rail. So like 05, I think.

You don't need the computer at all. Use the old school dodge voltage regulator for the alternator, and push button for manifold heaters.

As was already noted, the Conversion section on OB is worth the time. Also, if you're on Facebook, look for a group called "Fummins Tech"...there's some very good conversion info on there
