there comes a time when you just have to say goodbye to a vehicle, unfortunately, I'm having to do it to the truck I hunted 10 years for.....
picked it up last Feb, then had my wonderful accident in March (the same day I registered it) when the insurance company totalled it out, no big deal in the end, just frustrating until they paid me
fixed the damage from that, then got my new job with an old boss, had it sitting in the shop lot and someone hit it and took off, so then I got to replace the same fender and the hood, and started looking for another front bumper, which irritated the living hell out of me, but I got it done, painted all my (new again) front end plastic/grill, and everything was fine again....
and then saturday when I was coming home from picking up what I needed to get the entire truck ready for paint finally, I had some dumb bleepedy-bleep-bleep teenage girl who didn't slow down for the snowstorm we were having wrap the front end of her Durango around my front drivers side corner!!!
my truck drove away (still does 55 like nothing happened), her Durango was hauled away on a flatbed (because the lockout cap on my axle was pressed against her block), cops called it a no-fault accident, and now I'm supposed to fix the same friggin damage AGAIN!!!!! that's 3 times in 8 months!
the wife rode my ass about it that evening, so I put it up for sale late saturday night, the guy's coming to pick it up tomorrow (he first called me monday)
have all the spare parts in the back end of it now for him to take it, I'm not writing off having an IDI, but I just finally got to the point of saying "to hell with it" towards that corner of THIS truck, and am going to finish up my gasser project before I look into finding another
I love this truck, put it through hell without ever being let down, and I never thought I would ever give it up for anything, but I just reached my breaking point on doing the same repair over and over
anyway, here's what it looks like right now....
