Mini update....

Well I was hoping The Dewey would be coming home today but she's not quite finished yet. But the guy did ask if I wanted to visit her and see how she looks! Heck yah I wanna see!!
She is looking awesome!! I'm really pleased so far! This pic is taken with my crappy crackberry phone so you'll have to excuse it. The pic of course does it no justice! Hopefully tomorrow they will have re-installed the visor and the little rear wing and I can bring her home and finish assembly!!

are those cab lights smokey or just masked and covered in the grey paint? we just repainted my bros dodge grey and i love it. it shines and its one of the cheapest colors you can get that is absolutely a beautiful truck glad you kept it.

LOL Yah I had to do a double take too when I saw the lights. They are just taped up and painted. They do kinda look pretty cool smoked though with the charcoal paint!

Well I sure hope to be busy tomorrow and throughout the weekend putting everything back together. Tonight I made sure that I'll be busy next weekend too; I pulled the trigger on the seats! ;Sweet I didn't go with the company that I listed above though. I emailed and called them about sending a sample of their colors for the leather etc....well after waiting and waiting still nothing! :dunno I gotta say I didn't really get a warm fuzzy from them when I called them on the phone either and it's just too much money to spend for that feeling of no customer service....sooooo I went with a company called Industrial Seating. They have been around forever - I sent one qoute request and the guy emailed me twice and called me back when I left messages (Imagine that!). Needless to say they put the time in, answered all my questions, didn't mind spending time on the phone etc etc and won the business. The seats should be here middle of next week!
I love it when a plan comes together!!

It's looking really good, I am hoping to paint mine next week. It probably won't turn out that good because I will just be painting mine in my garage but it will look better than it does now, right now I have lots of primer from where I welded in new Wheel arches over the winter.

I don't know Eric. All that flashy paint is nice, but a Moose Pump would certainly be appropriate under there. ;Sweet

Sooo, what's wrong with the cracberry phone.
I can't get the dang thing to take a pic that's not blurry!! Might be the operator but I think it's the phone! :D

Hey Mel - Bethan will only let me spend money on stuff she can see! I better not push my luck; she's been pretty awesome loosening up the purse strings!! ;Sweet

Ok I got her home but not without some minor problems...there was a few things that I was worried about when I dropped her off...well two of em came true - 1. I put a piece of tape over the holes on the roof where I had to remove the air horns...well the dumb a$$ painter painted right over the tape!! cookoo I told them it was there (we've been having a ton of afternoon showers is why it was up there) and 2. I put the air dam in the cab to be painted also - well they forgot to paint the air dam! :dunno I coulda left Dewey there for them to fix but I've been dying to get her home soooo I did leave the air dam and it should be ready Tuesday...not a big deal since I can still go forward putting her back together without it but I've got to bring Dewey back so they can re-spray the roof. I'm gonna wait till the 22nd though since I got the seats coming next week.
But other than those two things I am really happy with how she turned out...the guy wants me to come work for them when I retire in 7 years...said my prep work was really good! ;Really;)
So without further ado here are some pics of her getting home and what i could get done before it got dark.
Pic 1 - Just got her home and backed in driveway.
Pic 2 - New headlights installed - they are awesome!! Finally makes the Whiter Brighter mod worthwhile!!
Pic 3 & 4 - New LEDs installed on the hips, mirrors and new F350 badging.

What ****** me off is when someone gets a lot of work done on their truck, and all some people can do is find some way to pick it apart and tear it down,,.

Nice Comment,...

I'm just saying. It takes less time to remove 2 screws per light. It takes longer to tape it off, and it is a spot that will start to peal. But if it was only a 1500 paint job then thats fine. But if it was 3k+ then that is a differnt story. I am a firm believer, "You should get what you pay for"
