I have no power to the high idle solenoid when cold. the solenoid works with a 12v jumper. Anyone know how to test the temperature switch.

The switch should be closed when below 112 degrees and open at any temp above that.
So in the morning before the truck has been started it should conduct electricity and after she's warmed up - no conduct. If it's not doing that then check the wiring - on these older trucks the wiring is getting tired - I know that when mine would not work it was the connection - either it rattled loose or it was dirty.
