I have torn into many Sterling 10.25 rear ends. But I have never had one fight me like this. I beat the ever loving snot out of it and it would not budge. I even damaged the hub and flange. The bad thing is I had both shafts out a few weeks ago when I did the brakes. I finally ran out of time and had to stop for the day. Is there a trick I am missing or something I am not thinking of that can keep such a tight grip on that shaft?

Did you put gasket maker on it last time? If all the bolts are out, start truck and hold brakes. Put in gear. Shaft should break free of the hub. If one side breaks free, put some bolts in that side and repeat for other side

That is what I was thinking. But it drives fine and. I do not see how it could be stuck in the carrier and there be no damage by now.
