Stuck In the Snow

It's a proud day. My little girl was taking a friend home tonight on one of the back roads. She got in an ice rut which pulled her off the road and she got stuck in the snow. Instead of freaking out, she did just as I taught her. She got out, locked her hubs, put it in 4 wheel drive, and away she went. She was so proud, this is the first time she's had to get herself unstuck. And she did it on her own.

Women even,, once we were heading to the inlaws and the road they used to live on would be a whole nother world when you turned the corner, sheet of ice!!!!, well the wife had a cherokee and it spun and I am thinking damn here we go, she just reaches down puts it in 4lo and lets out the clutch and up the hill we go didnt even spin a tire, I prolly would a gassed it and spun all over, more power you know. lol.
chicks rule.

now that's cool its an excuse for the kids to go play in the mud and not get into trouble
Now when she brings you a beer and church key to open the bottle as you are taking off your shoes from a hard day's work...that's priceless. Savor the moment while it lasts. Soon enough she will understand when she hears her mother scream...."go get you own damn beer"

When you have younger kids, you can just deploy one of them to lock the hubs. Kinda like a trunk monkey. It's a great convienence, and works more reliably that auto-locking hubs.

Yeah, when I was little, the manual hubs were auto lockin hubs when I was with dad...
