Problem is where the heat is!
Use an inferred temp. gun to diag.
Electricity travels on the surface of the copper strands. More strands is more better! Probably a practical limit at some point.

Not true for DC voltage. Strand count does little to nothing for conductivity. All it does is make it nice and flexible, which is a good enough reason for me to buy it in any case
