Starter rotation wrong

Hello all,
I have a 7.3 that is installed in a boat. Change the starter and now it’s spinning my motor CCW. All the starters for this motor all spin CW. Anyone know how I can get a starter that spins CCW in order to spin my motor CW? Or can I reverse the rotation myself? Thanks in advance.

I guess the first thing that I'd do is to take the starter back to where you bought it and try to explain the situation to them.

Yup. For decades now, I have usually just paid the core charge and kept the old part, because of stuff like this.

Sometimes you just need a part off the old part, and replacing that part of the part would cost almost as much as the part... See what I did there?
