stalling

A friend of mine has a 1999 dodge one ton dullie with automatic trans. the problem is after it runs for a while it will stall. If you wait for about one minute it will restart and run fine for about 5 minutes then die again , wait one minute and go again. We have tried to replace the fuel filter , and still the same. I was going to check fuel preasure, but he went ahead and replaced the lift pump before I could check, and still the same problem. I havent had much of a chance to look it over , but any suggestions?

this sound stupid but do it

recal yer APPS

turn key on but dont start
slowly push throttle all the way to floor
slowly let throttle back up
turn key off
yer APPS has been recalibrated
drive and enjoy.................report back with results

It was the screen filter before the inj. pump was cloged with gunk. I didn't know what it was until I decided to take it appart. thank you for the advice though.
