'97 K2500 stalls after running

I am looking at a 6.5, but it starts up and quits a little later. Is this a fuel issue that I need to be aware of? I don't wish to replace an injector pump set. It runs smooth in spite of everything.

What year, how long does it run before quitting, and how long until it will restart?

Random idea.... Try loosening the fuel tank cap when it's running. Maybe there's a venting issue?
