speedo-try to fix or replace??

the last couple of weeks its been going nuts, always overstating my actual speed sometimes going all the way around to the peg, the odometer seems to be accurate so its not a cable problem, i suspect dust and time is the culprit, no to mention 202xxx miles. anyone have good luck taking one apart??

If I have time this weekend, I'll go through my garage and see if I have one laying around. I just disassemble one (destroyed it), but I think I still have another.
