Speedo Drive Gear Replacement

Just swapped mine out a few days ago, figured I'd take a video while doing it, since I've seen these go bad a lot.

Wow, that's pretty easy. I had to change the drive gear on my 67 mustang 3 times in one week, I wish it had been that easy. I have a steel drive gear now, so no more problems.

RIGHT?! I wish I could get a steel one, I'm toying with the idea of trying to machine one in a class I'm taking next year. At least the DRIVE gear should be steel. There's only one for the 1345 anyway. The driven gear can be plastic for all I care, it's a 2 minute job to replace, and only $7. I seriously question Ford engineering sometimes....

Also plz give me your Mustang. Do want.

The ford dealership actually bought me the steel drive gear. They ordered me the wrong plastic gear so many times they wanted to make sure I didn't come back. The guy literally threw the gear at me when I came in. I want my mustang as well, been sitting on jack stands for a month. My new dual friction center force clutch should be arriving in a day or two.

I've had it 19 years, since I was 16 and it still needs a lot of work. I drive it every chance I get though.
