Today this is my 16,000th post here. Way back on April 30th I past Mels post count but kept it quite till I reached this post. Back then I became the member with the most posts helping others. Its been a real nice journey reaching this post but never did I have any design to pass anyone or reach a lofty perch. I owe it all to those asking for help. I still to this day learn something new all the time from others posting items of interest to me. I will continue to help those in need but as for reaching 20,000... Thats seems so far off. I recall reading something about Mels post count over there being deleted. I think he had something like 15,000 posts there and here so that around 30,000 total. I am not thinking about reaching that amount ever. I have no lofty designs on any amount of posts. I just enjoy posting here to help those in need. Thanks guys for the work.

Oh my...I was right for some reason I thought I was incorrect....DOH!

I thought u passed Mel and started a post, then for some reason I screwed up inside my skull and thought it was off by about 3K worth of posts.....DOH!

Now thats funny right there. So its off to the future and what it brings to all of us. I'm not positive but I believe the post count goes like this. I lead with the most followed by Mel and then Calvin. After that I don't think many are even past the 10,000 mark but I have no real way of knowing this.. Just a wag at this point. It has been fun working with all the diffeant issues that have developed over the years too. I have learned so much by helping those that ask for it. I do like to include extra information so others can gleam something more from an answer. I think a question deserves more than a single word answer. So I will say more so the original poster has a better idea why my answers are positive or negative to the questions. What I enjoy most about this forum is the honest answers and not the.."Your the dumbest ass for asking a stupid question like this" type of answer. That does nothing for the person asking for help. If anything it pushes buttons most of the time. We have a great group of members here that will respect others to have a differant oppinnion on the same topic.

Congratulations Gary. It's about time somebody else took the helm. Between Ford Diesel.com in the late 90's early thousands, and here, I guess I have over 30,000 posts to my name. Obviously the marker of someone who didn't have a life. Now I have one, and I'm just too busy. Fate has been kind to me.

Mel I feel you will always be the top poster here because of your constant support of two forums. Sadly "those guys" deleted all the fantastic work you did over there. Things change and we move on as it should be. It was never my purpose to pass your count here but members wanted t e help so I helped those that I could. Its been a fantastic ride but to say I have a goal.. Nope.. Just really enjoy helping those in need. Someday they too can return the favor this forum offered them for no cost. Your one of three members that I envey for your knowldge of these trucks and engines. I think I would almost sell my soul to do the work you are doing at the shop. These pumps are black magic to me. I dought I could open one up and understand whats going on let alone see whats worn out. Thats the problem I'm facing about opening up my differancial to change gears.
