Is that not the cruise control cable along with the throttle cable on the IP? If so where is the controller located? I may have cruise control and not know it. I've thought for a while the column might have been replaced and no tilt or cruise on an Xlt lariat just didn't make sense.

The logging outfit did that to my truck as well, swapped out the tilt/cruise column for a standard one. Guess the bozos were hoisting themselves into the cab via a big tug on the steering wheel and broke the tilt mechanism.

Yes.. That is the controller or motor for the vacuum that makes the cruise work. Follow those vacuum lines too. There is one that attaches to the brake peddle. One that attaches to the vacuum manifold and another that attaches to the vacuum booster resivour can. The one that looks like a 1 quart tomatoe drink can.

Thanks Gary. I didn't have it on my 88 so I guess that's why I didn't identify it. Now to check out the column. I have a feeling it was changed out and that's probably why I have no turn signals or horn or anything else that runs through the column.
