Pretty much all the pros and con's have been covered already. Long story short a D60 will get you an easy to maintain axle that makes suspension lifts much easier, and it can take a boat load of weight and abuse without wearing out your tires. It will also ride much harsher than the D50.

I put a D60 in my truck for the lift ease and the maintenance simplicity. Just make sure you find your own reasons and don't do it because it is the thing to do.

thanks for the feed back guys so what all is involved in lifting the TTB?

Refer to post #12. If you buy a "lift kit" it should come with the needed parts. My son and I (with a little help from the wife) did my 4" in 3 easy days. We also did the whole steering linkages, pivot bushings, etc while we were at it.

A 2" kit would be less involved (no changing the drop brackets) but 4" or more involves doing the brackets. Do a Google search of the different kits. There are quite a few. Just be sure you are looking for the ones that specifically for diesels as the others are for the gas engines and use lighter springs.
