Got the cleanup and repaint done on that headache rack and rails.

Combination of wire wheel, paint stripper stuff, pressure washer and gasoline made this clean up well.

Same with the headache rack, this is after some self etching primer and some paint. Both the rack and rails got the same treatment.

Showing off my paint booth. Just like my shop, it has air conditioning and a skylight! Newspaper masking and I had a good laugh about the old kids floor foam squares. they worked well to protect the rear window. But meh, it works!

Now its all back together, looks a little better than before, now to see how long my backyard paint job holds up to every day life!

I need to put some lights in a area like that.
If I ever hook up some, I won't even know what to do with them. I've never had reverse lights on this truck. Lol can backup just fine.
But I get in the jetta that has "bright" reverse lights, and can't see crap.

I'd probably hardly use them, but it would be nice when loading or unloading in the dark. Maybe as extra light during a camping trip or something.

For me it'd be those late nights trying to work on something. When I use the bed as a workbench.

Lifted the box of this past weekend, to make working easier. Today I got my air tank and compressor brackets bolted to the frame, ordered some steel for my new gooseneck/fifth wheel hitch. Also figured out how I'm going to make the track bar, just need to find a place to bend .25 wall DOM.

They're really nice if you ever have to load a vehicle on a trailer at night.

Mostly just looked at it but did manage to get some little stuff done along with most of the gooseneck/fifth wheel hitch.

Used it to pick up a car trailer so I can haul my Bronco to my buddy's place for further project progress!

Been sitting a couple days.
Started ******* oil again. I've had a hpop waiting to go in since the 8th.
Just been waiting on a gasket. The one that came with it was all beat up from shipping.
Around Tuesday I added some blind spot mirrors.

Got the frame notched and test fit the 5th wheel hitch, to make sure the pucks lines up right. Tomorrow I'll hopefully get that welded up and finish the track bar.

Checked my hitch height against a factory 01 CCLB F-350 7.3L and it's only an inch taller, which puts me right where I wanted to be. Before when it was on 2wd suspension I would always have to lower a trailer onto wood blocks in the box then reset the drop legs on the jacks so they would go low enough.

The hitch is finished finally I welded everyplace I could, the main cross bars are 1/4" wall plated with 1/4" plate. Decided on the rear fuel tank dimensions and it should be about 45 gallons, depending on how deep I make it.
